Einhorn-Apotheke is a full-service pharmacy in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the
dome. Our staff speaks English and is happy to help international guests — including passengers
from Rhine river cruises — find the right medication quickly and without fuss.
Motion Sickness
The most common complaint among river cruise passengers. Whether it’s the swell, the engine
vibration, or a choppy stretch of the Rhine — we carry Dimenhydrinate (Vomex), Meclozine, and
Scopolamine patches for fast relief.
Nausea & Vomiting
Triggered by motion or a rich German meal? We stock antiemetics including Metoclopramide and
natural ginger capsules.
Headache, Fever & Colds
Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, and Aspirin are always in stock. For colds and hay fever, we carry
antihistamines such as Cetirizine and Loratadine, as well as nasal sprays and decongestants.
Traveller’s Diarrhoea
A change of food or water can upset your digestion while travelling. We carry Loperamide, oral
rehydration salts, and charcoal tablets for quick relief.
Sunburn & Insect Bites
After-sun gel, Panthenol, and mild Hydrocortisone cream soothe sunburned skin. For mosquito
bites and itching, we stock antihistamine cream and sting-relief pens.
Sunscreen
We carry a full range of sunscreen from SPF 30 to SPF 50+ — including lip balm with UV
protection.
Plasters & Wound Care
From standard wound plasters and waterproof plasters to blister plasters (Compeed), fabric
plasters, and elastic bandages — we stock all sizes and types. Antiseptic wound spray is also
available.
